PGC Group becomes Golfers World
Having acquired Golfers World in 2024, PGC Group has decided to use this name for the whole of the group that comprises Piguy Golf Challenge, Duchell, RangeKing and Golfers World Netherlands.
The name perfectly indicates the sphere in which the group operates whilst simultaneously reflecting the wider geographical scope as the group expands.
Over the past two years, Golfers World has initiated a new strategy based on 3 pillars:
1 - B2B business comprising of equipment for golf courses and driving ranges
2 - B2B2C business comprising of equipment for golfers sold through third-party retailers
3 - Digital and technology which provide innovation and services to assist our customers.
Part of the group’s uniqueness is its one-stop solution, providing answers to the needs of customers across a wide spectrum from the golf course to driving ranges to Proshops, retail stores and e-commerce.
The other key characteristic is the group’s emphasis on innovation, whether this be keeping golf courses and driving ranges at the cutting edge of technology or in constantly seeking ways of helping retail customers to differentiate themselves from other retailers.
Whilst the Player Equipment businesses in The Netherlands, Germany and other recent markets will immediately trade under the Golfers World name, the name will be introduced more gradually in markets where its traditional company names such as Duchell in the Netherlands or Piguy in France have been known for decades, simply adding the Golfers World name and logo.
